12 Month Full Cover Agreement - Price £180.00 including Vat.
For appliances with outputs up to 35kw (120,000 BTU’s) and upto 7 years old.
 
Annual boiler service with:
 
  • Service as per manufactures instruction
  • Flue gas analyser report
  • Safety check of flue and boiler
  • Controls test
  • Gas leak check on appliance
  • and setting of gas pressures.
 
Call out made within 24 hours from receipt of call 365 days a year
 
Cover against the failure of:
 
  • Circulation pump
  • Heating controls
  • Hot water cylinder
  • Expansion tank
  • Radiators and valves
  • Gas supply within appliance
  • and heating pipework from boiler.
 
Parts and labour for the service, call out and cover is included within the price.
 
Items not covered are:
 
  • Wilful damage
  • Frost damage
  • Replacement of decorative parts (bulbs, batteries, radiators covers etc.)
  • Domestic hot & cold water pipework
  • Sanitaryware and installation defects
  • Scale and sludge formation within the boiler and system pipework.

** Landlord gas safety checks do not form part of the above services and are quoted separately.
 


SCOPE OF SERVICE CONTRACT
 
RG FRANCIS LTD will provide the level of cover as set out below in respect of the private domestic gas central heating system specified.  Applies to private domestic central heating scheme up to 35kw output.
 
DEFINITIONS
 
1a)  The whole central heating system:
The central heating boiler and the gas supply from the appliance isolating tap, together with the pump, thermostatic radiator valves, motorised valves and cylinder thermostat, time control, temperature and pressure controls, radiators, pipework, hot water cylinder, feed and expansion tank, or in the case of warm air, heat emitters, together with any multipoint or circulator water heater providing domestic hot water.
 
1b)  Priority attention:
RG FRANCIS LTD will endeavour to call the same day in response to any
breakdown or failure of the central heating system if the fault is reported before 2pm (subject to workload and labour availability).
 
1c)  Annual visit
The service engineer will inspect the central heating appliance specified once a year and check and adjust it as necessary.
 
1d)  Breakdown - Labour and parts
No charge will be made in respect of labour or parts and materials used in repairing any reported fault.
 
2.   PERIOD OF SERVICE CONTRACT
 
Subject to condition 8, this contract is valid for a period of one year from the date on which the agreement was initially made between RG FRANCIS LTD and the customer and for each year it is renewed thereafter.
 
3.   CONDITION OF CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM
 
3a) Acceptance of a central heating system including system components onto a service contract does not imply that it is installed satisfactorily or to the prevailing standards.  RG FRANCIS LTD will not accept responsibility for any inadequacy attributable to the original design and makes no warranty as to the fitness for purpose or condition.  Where the existing gas appliance is over ten years old, acceptance will be subject to survey as replacement parts are not always readily available.
 
3b) At the time of the first service visit, RG FRANCIS LTD reserves the right to cancel the contract and refund any moneys paid for reasons of safety, accessibility for servicing or non-availability of spare parts.
 
4.   PROVISION OF SPARE PARTS
 
4a) RG FRANCIS LTD may supply and fit adequate replacement parts or components which are not the same as the parts being replaced.
 
4b) RG FRANCIS LTD shall not be held responsible for any delay in the provision of spare parts by suppliers.
 
4c) RG FRANCIS LTD reserve the right to refuse to renew a contract where the gas appliance is over ten years old and parts become unavailable.
 
 
5.   REPLACEMENT OF CENTRAL HEATING APPLIANCE
This service contract does not include the replacement of the central heating appliance in the event of spare parts or components not being reasonably available.
 
6.   LIMITATIONS OF OBLIGATIONS
RG FRANCIS LTD shall not be liable if it is unable to carry out its obligations under the service contract due to industrial dispute or force majeure.
 
7.   EXCLUSIONS
 
The following are excluded from the service contract:
  1. Adjustment to time and temperature controls.
  2. The replacement of decorative parts, batteries and fire radiants.
  3. Any domestic water supply from the hot water cylinder to and including taps.
  4. Any defect or inadequacy attributable to the original design of the gas central heating system.
  5. The cold water supply tank, its feed and outlets (including unvented cylinder).
  6. The fabric of the building or pipework, ductwork and flue pipework buried in it.
  7. Any defect caused through malicious or wilful action, negligence, misuse or third party interference.
  8. Any defect or damage occasioned by fire, lightning, explosion, flood, storm, tempest, frost, impact or any other extraneous cause.
  9. Descaling and any work arising from hard water scale deposits or from damage caused by aggressive water.
  10. Consequential damage or loss arising as a result of a defect occurring in the central heating system unless such a defect, damage or loss is attributable to the negligence of RG FRANCIS LTD.
  11. Any defect or damage occurring from a failure of the public electricity or water supply.
 
8.  PAYMENT AND RENEWAL
 
8a)  Payment
Payment for this contract is to be made in advance, annually.
 
8b)  Renewal
The dates for the renewal of the contract will be the anniversaries of the date the contract was originally taken out.  Advice of the renewal date together with the renewal charge will be sent in advance of that date.
 
8c)  Validity
This contract remains operational and valid so long as payment is continued.  It will be subject to termination by either RG FRANCIS LTD or the customer when the appropriate notice is given.
       
9.   CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP
9a) Where there is a change in the ownership of the property in which the central heating system covered is located, the new owner shall enjoy the benefits of the contract for the unexpired period for which payment has been made.
9b)There will be no refund for any unexpired part of the contract.
